Every jar and bottle of Gusie's Beauty is handcrafted fresh in small artisanal batches. Because we refrain from using synthetic bleaching agents, artificial thickeners, chemical emulsifiers, or harsh industrial dyes:
Such natural variations do not represent defects and do not alter the extraordinary nourishing potency of the formulation.
Our signature whipped shea and cocoa butters are completely pure and free of synthetic chemical stabilizers, waxes, or hydrogenated hardeners. As a consequence, pure whipped butters naturally melt at temperatures exceeding 76°F – 80°F (24°C – 27°C).
If your body butter arrives softened or melted due to hot weather or carrier transit temperatures, simply place the jar upright in your refrigerator for 20 to 30 minutes. It will re-solidify into a rich, decadent balm. While the whipped air volume may decrease slightly upon melting, the total product weight, therapeutic nutrients, and moisturizing efficacy remain 100% intact. Melting during summer shipping is normal and does not qualify for refunds.
Product Pricing: All prices displayed on our website are stated in United States Dollars ($ USD) and are subject to change without prior notice. Promotional pricing, tiered discounts, and bundle offers are valid only for the duration specified.
Exclusive Sales Tax Calculation: In compliance with US state tax nexus legislation (Wayfair doctrine) and statutory tax regulations, applicable state and local sales taxes are calculated exclusively and added to your order subtotal at checkout once your destination shipping address is entered.

Tracked US Shipping: We provide complimentary tracked shipping on qualifying US orders nationwide via the United States Postal Service (USPS), UPS, or FedEx.
Transfer of Title & Risk of Loss: All purchases are made pursuant to a shipment contract. Title and risk of loss for products pass to you upon our delivery of the parcel to the carrier (FOB Origin). Once the carrier scans the parcel into their tracking system, delivery transit times and physical handling are the responsibility of the carrier.
Accurate Shipping Information: You are solely responsible for providing complete and accurate recipient details, including apartment/suite numbers. Gusie's Beauty is not liable for packages misdelivered or delayed due to incorrect addresses provided by the customer.
Due to the handcrafted, artisanal nature of our products and strict United States health, hygiene, and consumer cosmetics safety regulations:
To ensure the complete sanitary integrity of products delivered to every customer, we cannot accept returns or exchanges on opened, unsealed, or used cosmetic items, body butters, body oils, lip balms, or hair treatments once dispatched.
Transit Damage or Order Discrepancies: If your package arrives physically damaged by the postal carrier, or if you receive an incorrect item, please notify our Customer Care Team at [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photographic proof of the packaging and damage. We will immediately issue a replacement or store credit.
All content, graphics, photographs, product names, formulations, brand identifiers, typography, custom icons, audio-visual clips, digital designs, physical product labels, and packaging trade dress featured on or associated with Gusie's Beauty are the exclusive, proprietary intellectual property of Gusie's Beauty and its parent corporation, Sierra Holdings Inc, protected under United States and international copyright, trademark, trade dress, trade secret, and unfair competition laws.
The distinctive commercial presentation and "trade dress" of Gusie's Beauty products—including, without limitation, our distinctive amber cosmetic containers, gold-metallic and foil lid finishes, proprietary label artwork, layout, typography, botanical emblems, color schemes, product titles (including, without limitation, Whipped African Shea Body Butter, Glow & Restore Herbal Hair Oil, and Artisanal Lip Therapy Trio), and the overall visual look and feel—serve as source identifiers that exclusively designate Gusie's Beauty and Sierra Holdings Inc.
You may NOT: (i) Copy, replicate, imitate, digitize, print, distribute, or counterfeit any Gusie's Beauty product labels, UPC barcodes, batch markings, or packaging elements; (ii) Create, design, or market any labels, packaging, or cosmetic goods that bear a confusingly similar commercial impression, visual layout, or aesthetic to our proprietary trade dress; or (iii) Use our name, trademarks, or logo marks in any manner likely to cause consumer confusion, deception, or mistaken affiliation under 15 U.S.C. § 1125(a).
All products purchased from Gusie's Beauty are sold with intact, factory-sealed labels containing statutory cosmetic ingredient disclosures, net quantity statements, and lot identifiers in accordance with the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act (FPLA), the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act), and the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MoCRA).
While qualitative ingredient lists are disclosed on our product packaging in compliance with 21 CFR § 701.3, the specific ingredient proportions, extraction protocols, cold-pressing methodologies, whipping durations, and temperature-controlled maceration processes of our 21 Ancient Ayurvedic Herbs and raw West African unrefined shea butter constitute proprietary Trade Secrets under the federal Defend Trade Secrets Act of 2016 (DTSA, 18 U.S.C. § 1836) and the Maryland Uniform Trade Secrets Act (MUTSA, Md. Code Ann., Com. Law § 11-1201 et seq.).
The purchase, receipt, or sampling of any Gusie's Beauty product does NOT grant or convey any license, permission, or right, express or implied, to reverse-engineer, chemically analyze (via gas chromatography-mass spectrometry or otherwise), deconstruct, clone, recreate, or commercially exploit our proprietary formulations or artisanal textures.
Gusie's Beauty products are handcrafted in small, fresh artisan batches and distributed exclusively through our sovereign direct-to-consumer platform (gusiesbeauty.com) and authorized corporate partners to ensure uncompromised quality, temperature-controlled summer care, hygiene seal integrity, and customer safety.
Products purchased through this Site are intended strictly for personal end-consumer use or authorized personal gifting. Commercial resale, redistribution, dropshipping, or listing of Gusie's Beauty products on unauthorized third-party platforms—including Amazon, TikTok Shop, eBay, Walmart Marketplace, Etsy, Poshmark, Mercari, or independent storefronts—is strictly prohibited without prior written authorization from Sierra Holdings Inc.
The Material Difference Doctrine: Under United States federal trademark law, goods sold outside of a trademark owner's authorized distribution system and quality-control standards are not shielded by the "First Sale Doctrine" because they are legally deemed materially different from authentic goods. Because Gusie's Beauty products lack artificial chemical stabilizers and require strict climate-controlled handling, any products resold without authorized quality verification forfeit all product guarantees and constitute actionable trademark infringement and unfair competition.
All high-resolution product photography, texture swatches, ingredient graphics, video demonstrations, custom UI elements, the AI Skincare Concierge, and brand heritage storytelling appearing on this Site are original works protected under Title 17 of the United States Code (Copyright Act). Any unauthorized scraping, downloading, screenshotting, or commercial republication of our photography to sell counterfeit, competing, or diverted beauty products constitutes willful copyright infringement subject to statutory damages up to $150,000 per infringed work pursuant to 17 U.S.C. § 504(c).
You acknowledge and agree that any violation or threatened violation of this Section 10 will cause immediate, irreparable harm to Gusie's Beauty and Sierra Holdings Inc for which monetary damages alone would be inadequate. Consequently, in the event of any unauthorized label duplication, counterfeiting, trade dress imitation, trade secret misappropriation, or unauthorized marketplace resale, Sierra Holdings Inc shall be entitled to:
"AS IS" BASIS: EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED HEREIN, ALL PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
MAXIMUM MONETARY CAP: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE MARYLAND AND FEDERAL LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL GUSIE'S BEAUTY, SIERRA HOLDINGS INC, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, ARTISANS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL). OUR MAXIMUM AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO ANY PRODUCT PURCHASED SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ACTUAL PURCHASE PRICE PAID BY YOU FOR THE SPECIFIC PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Governing Law: These Terms and any dispute arising from your purchase or use of the Site shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to principles of conflicts of law.
Any legal controversy, claim, or dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or products purchased shall be resolved through final, binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in the State of Maryland, rather than in court.
CLASS ACTION WAIVER: YOU AND THE COMPANY AGREE THAT EACH PARTY MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
